“A Taste of African Heritage” brings tasty nutrition to Olney

“A Taste of African Heritage” comes to Olney on August 5, 12 and 19 and 26.

On August 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th the Olney library at 5501 N. 5th St. will host “A Taste of African Heritage” classes that promote nutrition, urban gardening and African culture with healthy African American-themed food at 6 p.m.

The classes are run by Oldways that has other programs to promote cultural cooking that is healthy and traditional. The “A Taste of African Heritage” events serve primarily Black communities with nutritional information and healthy African American food made with fresh ingredients to encourage healthy home cooking.
