Olney in The News: Beaten Vietnam Veteran Gets Help From Vets Around The Country

After the sudden beating of Edward Schaefer on Jan. 10 Schaefer has left Einstein Medical Center but his medical needs and costs are a serious matter as well. The beating by three teenagers on Olney’s commercial stretch of 5th Street left Schaefer with a fractured skull and severe injuries to his hands and face. Vietnam veterans around Philadelphia and the country saw the news report and quickly donated money to help with Schaefer’s medical expenses.
