Woman Struck by SEPTA Bus

A 67-year-old woman was struck by a SEPTA bus at 5th and Godfrey leaving her leg “severely crushed” on Dec. 21, said local news reports.  The woman was walking southbound on 5th and Godfrey Avenue and was struck by a bus turning left onto Godfrey Avenue from 5th Street between approximately 6:45-7:45 p.m.

The bus dragged her 20 feet before stopping, said police.  Firefighters rushed to the scene and lifted the bus off the woman’s leg.  She was rushed to Albert Einstein Hospital.
